MAURICE WALPER

Being a dance music lover and vinyl addict for all of his life, Maurice Walper had no other choice but to devote himself completely to his affection. Working for music magazines, music television and record labels made him reside in Berlin, Munich and most recently Frankfurt. After two years at renowned Munich based label Compost Records he moved to Frankfurt in 2008 to become head honcho of the small but uprising tech house imprint BCBtec (a sub label of BigCityBeats Recordings). Reflecting his own down to earth character, DJ sets by Maurice are always pleasantly unintrusive getting along without grandstanding, prefering the intimacy of a small locations instead of big rooms. Composed of selected deep house tunes with a techy twist, Detroit influenced sounds and contemporary disco edits, Maurice is offering those  willing to engage with his warm and slow grooves a perfect scope for an off-peaktime but none the less intensive and empathetic dance experience.
